Ever since I took the helm of CVRAM in 2008 I had a special mission to transform this association into a highly respected, well, organized and experienced personnel handling used commercial vehicles. At that juncture much negative news were disseminated about This rebuild industry. Many operators were skeptical about our products and looked at us with disdained. This scenario had put us in a bad light and inevitably we had an uphill task to convince the authority. The rebuild products were very much associated with the mundane ‘half cut trucks’ that were prevalent during the peak of the late 2008 onwards. I had set a vision to eliminate and removed all negative traits about rebuild trucks and assured the government the positive contribution the industry can offer to the general economy.

I had many engagements with our stakeholders and after several meetings soon I realized earlier notion of ‘inferior products’ can be replicated into a vibrant and sustainable activities and also augured well to some sectors of our growing economy. Within this short years the industry’s trajectory of providing a cheap but reliable product had gained momentum. This existential phenomenon had sustained throughout incessantly until a pause when Covid 19 pandemic hit our shores in 2019-2022.

The industry’s contribution to B4 sector is so immense and start up companies became our backbone to our existence and we foresee this trajectory shall maintain its status quo until 2030 and beyond.

Our inclusion in our National Automotive Policy (NAP 2016) had lend credence to our existence and this inclusivity without doubt had put the rebuild industry at par with other automotive players in this crowded environment.
